Dr. S. Alison Basak
Dr. S. Alison Basak is a fellowship-trained, double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon who completed additional intensive training in skin cancer surgery and advanced facial plastic reconstruction beyond residency. Her professional interests include medical dermatology, aesthetic skin enhancement, skin cancer detection and treatment, and bettering the patient experience in today’s increasingly-difficult healthcare environment. She strives to treat each patient with compassion and respect, just as she would want her own family members to be treated.
Joanna Rodriguez
Joanna has dedicated over 14 years of work in the medical field and more than 7 in the field of dermatology. Because she was always driven to help people, she earned an Associate Degree of Occupational Science and entered the medical field. She started as a pharmacy tech and progressed to become a CNA, then Medical Assistant. Because of her reliability and aptitude, she was given the opportunity to be a surgical assistant and loved it from day one. She broadened her education of the business aspect of medicine and is now Office Manager for DHE. Her passion for helping others continues to grow, and she is proud and super excited to be on this journey with Dr. Basak. She is fond of the work Dr. Basak does and the superior patient care she provides, not just to patients but to staff as well. She loves being part of a team that focuses on excellence in every aspect of care.
Born in Texas and raised in Colorado, she is bilingual and speaks both English and Spanish. Joanna enjoys spending time with her son and family and outdoor activities like hiking, biking, skating, and swimming. She’s a soccer mom, so on the weekends you can find her on the field watching her son score some goals. Crafting, dancing, reading, traveling, and movies are some of her favorite activities.
Holly Evans, MHA
With over a decade of experience in healthcare and 7 years dedicated to dermatology and aesthetics, Holly brings a well-rounded perspective to patient care and practice operations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and a master’s in Healthcare Administration. Her diverse background ranges from emergency medical services to physician support and practice operations, giving her a deep appreciation for the many moving parts that make a medical practice thrive.
Now serving as Director of Growth & Marketing at DHE, Holly is passionate about making healthcare more accessible, transparent, and patient-centered. She is especially drawn to dermatology for its blend of science, artistry, and long-term patient relationships. Helping patients feel confident in their skin and supporting a team that provides both medical and aesthetic care is a rewarding part of her role.
As a strong advocate for physician-led practices, she believes in preserving the integrity of care by supporting doctors in their ability to make independent, evidence-based decisions for their patients. She finds great purpose in contributing to a mission that puts patient outcomes before profit and supports clinical autonomy in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
Originally from North Carolina, Holly moved to Colorado in 2018 and quickly fell in love with the lifestyle and community. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, photography, and spending time with her family.
